Frequently asked questions

Will the slides look exactly the same?

Simple slides come close: text boxes with their position, size, alignment, bullets, bold/italic and colours, pictures, basic shapes with fills and outlines, simple tables and backgrounds. Everything is an approximation, though — text is drawn with Noto Sans instead of your fonts, and gradients, shadows, 3D and other effects are simplified.

What is not converted?

Charts, SmartArt diagrams, videos, audio, animations and transitions, speaker notes and pictures in EMF/WMF format. The result tells you when charts or pictures were left out — for a perfect copy, use “Save as PDF” in PowerPoint.

Can I convert .ppt files?

Only .pptx. Open a .ppt file in PowerPoint or LibreOffice and save it as .pptx first.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser.
