Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally binding signature?
It is an electronic signature: a picture of your signature placed on the page, which many everyday agreements accept. It is not a certificate-based digital signature that proves who signed or that the file was not changed afterwards — for that you need a signing certificate.
Can I sign on several pages?
Yes. Go to another page and add the signature again, or select a placed signature and click “Copy to every page”. You can also add today’s date and your initials.
How does “Remove the white background” work?
Near-white pixels of your photo become transparent, so the signature sits on the document instead of in a white box. It works best with dark ink on white paper.
Is my signature uploaded or stored?
No. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is saved after you close the page.
